Stunning Trench Art Money Box

Stunning Trench Art Money Box
Really beautifully made trench art coin box. This stunning piece of craftsmanship is a one-off piece that was supposedly made by an apprentice at Cammell Laird Shipyard during World War 11. As the story goes, in later years it graced the bar of a Merseyside pub where it was used to collect tips. Every part of the coin box is superbly made in solid brass and the whole sits on a polished wood base. In lovely original condition. Wooden base – 13 ½” x 7 ½” x 2” deep - good condition, tiny old piece missing. Doesn’t detract. Overall length is 13 ½” and overall height 8” The shell case is 7 ½” long All the brass work is in very good condition, the markings on the shell case itself are slightly worn.
