Pair of rustic scene oil on board works by Percy William ROWBOTTOM (1865-1943). Born in Nottingham he lived in Idridgehay, Derbyshire where he spent most of his life. The majority of Rowbottom's works come from the 1880's and he exhibited 18 pieces at the Nottingham Museum and Art Gallery, Glasgow Institute of Fine Art, the RSBA, Dudley Gallery, Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool, Manchester City Art Gallery and Birmingham. These pieces measure: 14" x 11.5" frame 8.5" x 6" picture (signed) and 14" x 12" frame 8.75" x 6.75" picture (unsigned)
