Splendid "Peachblow" Vase By Thomas Webb & Sons
Approximate height 9.5 inches (24cm) width 5 inches (12.5cm)
Made by overlaying cream coloured glass with red so the colour becomes gradually paler and less opaque as it descends.
The vase has a bulbous body and a long neck.
It is beautifully hand gilded with hanging flowering prunus branches.
Attributed to Jules Barbe it is a magnificent example of Victorian Stourbridge Glass from the end of the 19th century.
